A Matter of Mushing
As a household with a preference for primitive dogs, we knew we’d found the perfect breed for us when our first Laika entered our home in early 2018. She was sassy, smart, strong and ALWAYS had something to say!
Having befriended Isla’s breeder several years earlier, we knew Yakutians were the ideal dog for us-pairing an intelligent, inquisitive nature with a more biddable temperament. We wanted a dog that would be equally at home on an all-day hike or cuddling on the sofa and the Yakutian Laika was it!
Situated in Ohio near many comfortable walking trails filled with exciting new scents, our dogs enjoy spending as much time with us as possible. We look forward to sharing our love of the Yakutian Laika with you and hope to find the best match for your family if you are interested in a pup.
Due to Covid-19 we are not currently accepting visitors to the kennel, but we are happy to speak about the breed, show pictures of the dogs, and help you gain a better understanding of what to expect in the Laika at home, at work, and at play.
